Bafoussam, March 23–27, 2026
The Work au Mboa (Work Here) project is currently being implemented in the North and West regions of Cameroon. This project is based on an integrated approach that brings together public institutions, technical partners, local organizations, academic institutions, and businesses, with the aim of promoting inclusive training pathways aligned with the labor market, as well as sustainable employment opportunities for young women and men.

As part of activities aimed at improving the quality of career guidance services for young people in Bafoussam, this training was organized for local operators, guidance services, members of civil society organizations supporting youth, and public stakeholders. The objective was to enable these actors to provide accurate information on regular migration abroad and on the dangers associated with irregular migration routes.
Over five days, participants enhanced their knowledge of legal frameworks and European migration policies, particularly regarding opportunities for regular migration to Italy and other European countries. They also received reliable and up-to-date information on migration, identifying official sources of information, legal procedures, and safe mobility channels.
Participants’ skills in supporting and guiding migration candidates were strengthened, taking into account their profiles, skills, and aspirations. Finally, awareness was raised about the risks associated with irregular migration, including human trafficking, labor exploitation, and illegal recruitment practices.
